This approach pulls inspiration from the importance of systems and feedback in nature to create meaningful learning experiences.

A Process to Help You Design Impactful Education Experience!

Who is this for?

This collaborative process is best for a person or organization who wants to create or update a learning experience. You already know the content you want to teach and may know how you'd like to teach it. You're willing to dedicate time to meetings and designing material creation with the support of a facilitator. You want to build team buy-in and capacity to create and deliver impactful learning experiences.

Possible Outcomes

The STRIVE Process is flexible and can be adapted to suit your team’s needs and timelines. Here are two ways it might look:

Depending on your context and goals, a learning design cycle could result in experiences like:

  • a workshop

  • a training

  • an online course

  • an educational PDF download

  • educational videos

  • Curricular resources or a new curriculum

  • An interactive workshop or webinar

  • An educational social media campaign

Or a combination of formats.

Format Options

6-Month Design Cycle

We’ll spread the project over six months, meeting 1-2 times a month to take big strides together in the SUSTAIN process while working between sessions on the materials.

We’ll carve out a two-week window to focus on completing Stages 1- 4 then progress through the later stages based on when you can pilot your materials.

What is the SUSTAIN Learning Design Process?

The SUSTAIN Learning Design Cycle is an iterative process for designing and refining impactful learning experiences. It is rooted in backward design and modified from the ADDIE process for Instructional Design. It will ensure you create learning experiences focused on the goals and outcomes you want to achieve for your learners and your organization! This approach pulls inspiration from the importance of systems and feedback in nature to create meaningful learning experiences.

Pricing

The base cost for a Learnign Design Cycle is $6,000.

Costs will vary if you choose to include additional training or support like:

  • Additional training on content or skills like designing learning objectives, civic engagement strategies for education, or integrating the UN SDGs.

  • More active involvement in writing your curriculum using the content that you have (e.g., if your team doesn't have time to write it in a curriculum format but has time to confirm the desired content)

  • Bringing in additional consultants to be part of this process. I.e., as part of focus groups, to provide feedback, or to train your team on specific content. You are welcome to organize complimentary training or consultants to meet your project needs.

Every cycle includes:

  • Seven meetings (60-90 minutes) introducing each stage of the process.

  • One to two additional 1:1 or small group meetings each month with members of the team (e.g., a project lead) to go over any key questions, updates, or concerns

  • Resources and templates to support you in working through each stage

  • Time spent providing asynchronous feedback on working documents, including curricular content

  • Advise on pedagogical approaches, educational best practices, and resource design.
